Eur Ing. Steven G Gretton BEng. Hons. CEng. MIMechE, FIMMM, a Professional Engineer and accomplished Business Entrepreneur educated to honours degree level in Mechanical Engineering. He holds corporate membership and is registered as a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. He is classified as a Professional Engineer on the European Register and holds the title Eur Ing; he also holds a fellow membership with the Institute of Material, Minerals and Mining.

A professionally trained Mechanical Engineer, beginning his career through a British Rail apprenticeship before completing 11 years of service as a Marine Mechanical Engineer in the Royal Navy. Offers broad engineering management experience spanning the rail, rolling stock and offshore oil and gas industries.

Jason Hutton, Manufacturing Manager, is trained in City & Guilds 2330 Electrotechnical Technology and the Institute of Leadership & Management. He has over 25 years of experience in management roles and 17 years in the rail industry. He is also a former Unicef ambassador for rights-respecting schools.
Christopher Gration
Project Manager
Christopher Gration has over 20 years’ experience across rail, aerospace, defence, automotive and manufacturing, he brings extensive practical engineering experience together with strong project leadership and commercial awareness.
Chris is a time-served engineer and former British Army REME professional, his career has progressed from hands-on mechanical and electrical engineering into the management and delivery of complex engineering projects. He has extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams, managing suppliers and customer relationships, and delivering projects within demanding safety, quality, cost and regulatory requirements.
At Clayton Locomotives, he focuses on delivering projects safely, efficiently and to the highest standards, combining practical engineering knowledge with a clear focus on customer requirements, performance and successful project delivery.
Dr James Ward has been a Mechanical Engineer for over 20 years and holds a B. Eng (Hons) degree and also a Ph.D . He has a breadth of experience from many industries including Off highway, Aerospace, Marine, Agricultural Tractors and Heavy vehicle design and development. His specialisms include complex powertrain systems design (hybrids), powershift and parallel path transmission design and development, structural design and FEA (axles and structures), DVP development and execution, custom instrumentation design, vehicle mathematical performance modelling, engineering design and mathematical modelling. Along with this he is proficient in practical skills such as welding and fabrication, machining, electronics design and build.
